The ITS Trail Committee is making an appearance in local homecoming parades again this year.  Last year, John Fritsche brought his fun trike caravan to several local homecomings, and we have started again this year.  John Fritsche, Jarid Ott, Rus Masinelli, and Anita Masinelli participated in the Black Diamond Days.

The crowd seems to appreciate the novelty of our own bicycle-powered float.  We hope it spreads the word about the ITS trail and increases interest in multi use trails in general.

The homecoming events require a fair amount of help - and at many of the homecomings an extra rider or two may be helpful.  If you are  interested in helping in any way - set-up, picture-taking, or even riding, please This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .

We are looking for new members for the ITS Committee.  Membership has its priviledges: a membership card, entry into an annual lottery for a prize such as a new bicycle.  You may also participate in the activities of the ITS Trail Committee as we work towards the goal of the new recreational trail from Staunton to Benld.

Membership applications are available online as an Adobe Acrobat file (requires Adobe Acrobat, prints out well), and a a regular web-page (works even if you don't have Adobe Acrobat):

While we encourage new members, if you are interested in a straightforward donation, we would be happy to accept that, also.  Please send monetary donations by check to 916 N. Easton, Staunton, IL 62088.  We will note your donation on the website.

If you would like to simply keep up with events, please send me an email ( This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it ), and I will add you to our email list for announcements such as important news and meetings.
