Bike Trail Committee meeting

Approved minutes of meeting on 01/03/06

Members present: Nelson Grman, Russ Masinelli, John Cladieraro, Poonam Jain, Nora Feuquay, Larry Leone

The meeting was called to order at 7.00 P.M. It was decided that the two most important items on the agenda were:

• Discussion of plans to extend the bike trail from Staunton to Benld and

• Discussion of festivities to be organized during the upcoming Tour D’Donut

Formation of sub-committees was felt to be the best and most efficient way to move forward. The following sub-committees were discussed:

1. Right of way committee

Chair: Ray Duda

Members:

Russ, Josh Ross, Gene Peters, Larry Leone

Tasks:

Determine exact ownership of land from Staunton to Benld

Talk to land owners

Meeting with Jean Peters

2. Community outreach and fund-raising committee

Chair: John Caldieraro

Members: Sylvia Lux, Larry Lux, Jeff Roller

Tasks:

Talk to other communities, residents and county board members

Generate positive attitude about trail, maintenance and liability associated with it

Raise funds when and where required

3. Publicity

Chair: Poonam Jain

Members: Mr. Haase, Bill Napper, Nora Feuquay, Dave Ambrose

Tasks:

Publicity regarding committee activities

4. Tour D’Donut festivities

Chair: Demetria Dobrinick

Members: Nelson Grman, Russ Masinelli, John Caldieraro

Tasks:

Organization of race festivities

The next meeting will be on Jan 17^th, 2006. Nelson will talk to Demetria Dobrinick and Chamber of Commerce about Tour D’Donut and Russ will talk to Carlinville Court House about land ownership.
