Illinois Traction Society

The Illinois Traction Society is an organization dedicated to preserving the history of the Illinois Traction System.  The ITS ran right through Staunton, Benld, and Gillespie.  Our hope is to use the old railbed from the ITS for our proposed multiuse trail, thereby the name ITS Trail.
