			| The web is a rich resource about the benefits of bike trails, and the local community of cyclists and bike trails.  We hope that our members and others interested in the ITS Trail will take the time to visit some of these links.  Local bike trails and events are great examples of what the ITS Trail could become for our community.   Other Bike TrailsMadison County Trails Map    An interactive map of the trails system in Madison County.

 Illinois Traction Society  The Illinois Traction Society is an organization dedicated to preserving the history of the Illinois Traction System.  The ITS ran right through Staunton, Benld, and Gillespie.  Our hope is to use the old railbed from the ITS for our proposed multiuse trail, thereby the name ITS Trail.
