ITS Trail Committee Meeting Minutes April 3rd, 2007 Board members Present: Poonam Jain, Bryan Siegfried, Rus Masinelli, John Fritsche, Paul Skeans, Sandy Lane, Larry Leone, Jarid Ott. Members and others present: Ray Duda, Mickey Robinson, Conrad Kee The meeting was convened at 7:19 PM by president Poonam Jain. Treasurer's Report Sandy Lane reported that our balance sheet showed a total of $8781.87. Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement
Poonam Jain reported that the Intergovernmental cooperation agreement between Macoupin County and the ITS Trial Committee was passed at the Macoupin County Economic Development Council session last night. The full Macoupin County Board will meet to consider the cooperation agreement on April 10th, 2007. Insurance Issues Poonam Jain reported a discussion with Scott Zeller at McKay insurance, a firm which specializes in insuring bicycle rides. She reviewed his recommendations.
We have also received some rough estimates from Country companies.
Route 66 Trail-Breaking Ride Dr. Siegfried was asked to include the map on the website. The ride will start in the morning with plans to hold the event at the Duda Gardens at approximately 12:30.
July Raffle Plans for the raffle were discussed The raffle may be held either during the Staunton Homecoming or the Ribfest. Ray Duda has expressed interest in this and is the primary person behind the raffle. He is working on a float about the trail for advertising the raffle and the idea of the bike trai ITS Shirts Shirts will have 16 advertising slots. We already have four out of sixteen spots filled. Octoberfest Ride This is being placed on the back burner right now while we focus on the Route 66 Trail-Breaking ride and the raffle. New Business Bryan Siegfried mentioned the possibility of online donations to the ITS committee and will look into the feasibility of the same. We welcomed Paul Skeans and Sandy Lane to the ITS Trail Committee. Sandy Lane is our new treasurer and Paul Skeans is a new board member. The meeting was adjourned at 8:55 PM.
