ITS Trail Committee Meeting Minutes

June 5^th, 2007

Board Members Present: Jarid Ott, Bryan Siegfried, Bill Napper, Larry Leone, Rus Masinelli, Nelson Grman

Excused: Poonam Jain, Paul Skeans, John Fritsche

Also Present: Sandra Lane, Marie Hudson

The meeting was brought to order at 7:25 PM by Jarid Ott

Meeting Minutes

Previous meeting minutes were reviewed. Nelson Grman moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Larry Leone and approved on a voice vote.

Finances

Sandra Lane presented the accounts for the ITS Committee, which were reviewed by the members present.

Route 66 Trail-Breaking Ride (June 2^nd, 2007)

Thirty-Nine people checked off their names, and up to 5-6 more people likely participated in the event. The coordination between the communities and law enforcement agencies went well. Jarid Ott reported that 13 t-shirts were sold at the event on Saturday.

Gillespie Parade

John Fritsche, Russ Masinelli, Anita Masinelli rode recumbents, pulling four trailers for the event. The next event will be June 23^rd at Mount Olive, and en July 1^st at Staunton. We had a request from Dorchester to come to their homecoming, also.

Government Contacts

Springfield has been very busy, but Andy Manar is working with us to organize a meeting between representatives in Springfield, the railroad, and the ITS Committee.

New Business

Election of Officers is planned to be held for the next meeting.

The Illinois Traction Society reportedly is planning to hold their annual meeting in Staunton in 2009.

The meeting time for next month was formally changed from July 3^rd, 2007 to July 10^th, 1007 in accordance with the holidays. Motion to close the meeting was made by Jarid Ott, and approved by a voice vote.
