Minutes of the ITS Trail Committee Meeting

October 3rd, 2006

Old Meeting Minutes

Minutes of the September 5^th, 2006 meeting were discussed, and changes applied. Changes were minor. Minutes were accepted on a voice vote.

Feasibility Study

Dr. Greg Luttrell presented a possible initial study which could be pursued now, including a review of the facilities necessary, and the general needs. Hopefully, this would help us develop a grant for a formal feasibility study, which could not be submitted until next spring. This project would likely start in January, or start earlier, if we could help defray some of their costs.

Not for profit / 501(c)(3) status

Work on the 501(c)(3) status continues. We will need to send a check for $750 to Rick Verticchio for to cover the costs of the application. Bryan Siegfried moved to accept, seconded by Russ Masinelli, and passed on a voice vote.

Financial update

Currently, we have $4220 in our account, as of September 29th, 2006.

Outreach

Further presentations are planned. Suggestions included Litchfield, Staunton retired teachers, and Macoupin County Teachers' organization.

New memorials were discussed. The website will need to be updated.
